Quartz slabs undergo a man-made process utilizing natural quartz materials in its formulation. This gives suppliers complete control over color and pattern. Quartzite is a 100% natural quarried product, found in Brazil, containing all the natural features you would find in granite and marble slabs.

Generally speaking, marbles are much softer and porous in geological nature than granite and quartz. This cause marbles to become highly susceptible to scratching, etching, and staining. As sealers can assist, high levels of care are inevitable. While marble is undoubtedly a beautiful material, one must take caution when utilizing this material in high usage areas.

We recommend a specified countertop cleaner and warm water. Simply apply to your countertops and wipe down. If you have marble countertops, be sure to use a non-acidic resolution.

Stone countertops weigh approximately 20lbs per square foot. Yes! Your kitchen island weighs 800 pounds!!!
An averaged size kitchen takes about 2 hours to install. Larger projects may require more time. Our team will advise you on your project.
Natural stone countertops like granite, marble and quartzite contain pits, fissures and pores which are microscopic opening in the surface of the stone. Emerald Coast fabrication applies a sealer to all countertop surfaces. This liquid-based sealer penetrates the pores of the stone creating a barrier or shield in the interior of the material creating resistance to staining. Sealer cannot fully guarantee 100% protection of your countertops, but sealer certainly assists!
In most cases, yes. If you have marble countertops, the soft nature of the stone will cause the countertops to scratch.
